Designing of ñasting dies
for polymers moulding
The design stage of rigging is a component of the closed
cycle: reception of the initial information for the engineering
analysis - optimisation of manufacturing technology - optimisation
of a product design. Use of modern technologies and a uniform
mathematical pattern of a product allows to receive in the
shortest possible time mathematical patterns of rigging
form-building zones, rigging design, and also cooling
and hot-runner systems.
We can design both cold-runner and hot-runner casting dies
of different types.
The design of casting dies is carried out by means of Unigraphics
with the use of the specialized Mold Wizard module, on the
basis of typical parameterized packages of plates of casting
dies. Designing of a form-building cavity and a typical
package of plates (Mold Base) are incorporated into the
interconnected process. The specialized means of Mold Wizard
module for matrixes (cavities), punches (cores), inserts
(slides, risers) and marks (sub inserts) modelling are guided
on the given subject field and provide modelling of associative
3D-patterns of casting dies details with a 3D-pattern of
a casting product. In Mold Wizard there are specialized
tool means and designing procedures for automation of the
basic design tasks, which are included in the process of
casting die designing. Due to such specialization designing
time of a casting die and its operation are reduced.
Usually it is more difficult to design a casting die than
to design a casting detail. And, despite of a significant
level of the application of standard details and consistent
design decisions in a casting die design, we carry out the
comprehensive analysis of the created design in order to
receive qualitative castings. Such analysis includes:
- Check of the assembling design of a casting die;
- Imitation of kinematics of plates, marks, and pushers
movement;
- Fillability of a form-building cavity with a foundry
material;
- Imitation of cooling and consolidation casting processes.
We solve the enumerated problems by means of the appropriate
CAD-CAE systems. |
